Pilates Instructor

Moon and Stars Studio is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and energetic Pilates Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Pilates principles and a dedication to helping clients achieve their wellness goals in a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment. Responsibilities:

• Lead dynamic and effective group and private Pilates sessions on the reformer and trapezius table/cadillac.
• Design creative, engaging classes that adhere to safety standards and accommodate clients of all fitness levels and needs, including those with injuries or special considerations.
• Provide clear verbal cues, demonstrate exercises with proper form, and give hands-on adjustments to ensure clients’ safety and correct technique.
• Cultivate a positive and welcoming atmosphere to encourage client participation and retention.
  Maintain accurate client records and manage class attendance.
• Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance checks to ensure a safe studio environment.
• Answer client questions to promote studio services and activities.
• Attend all required staff meetings and continuing education workshops.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 400 hour comprehensive Pilates certification from a recognized, traditional training program (e.g., Stott, Balanced Body, Peak Pilates, Polestar).
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
• Extensive knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology, and exercise physiology.
• Proven ability to teach group reformer classes and provide individual coaching.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and available to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Previous experience in a fitness or wellness environment is preferred.

Compensation:

Hourly class rate is based on client attendance and ranges from approximately $40 to over $70. Private and semi-client hourly rate is based on past teaching experience. This is a contract position (1099).
