The Pilates Reformer Instructor is responsible for planning and delivering safe, effective, and engaging Pilates instruction for participants of varying ages and fitness levels at the Golden Community Center within the City Parks and Recreation department. This role leads private, semi-private, and group Reformer classes, providing appropriate modifications and progressions to meet individual needs and goals. The instructor creates a welcoming and inclusive environment while ensuring proper technique, alignment, and equipment use. This position supports member engagement and retention by delivering high-quality instruction and positive participant experience in alignment with facility standards. No sales associated with this position. Instructors are compensated for 1.25 hours per 1 hour class.

JOB SUMMARY
 

-Lead safe, effective, and engaging Pilates Reformer classes for participants of varying fitness levels, offering appropriate progressions and modifications.
-Deliver high-quality instruction that emphasizes proper form, alignment, and injury prevention.
-Create a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating class environment that supports member retention and satisfaction.
-Provide exceptional customer service by building rapport with participants, addressing questions, and fostering a positive studio experience.
-Monitor participant safety at all times and respond appropriately to incidents, injuries, or emergencies in accordance with established procedures; promptly communicate any concerns to the Fitness Coordinator.
-Maintain current knowledge of Pilates Reformer best practices and industry trends; participate in required training courses and continuing education as applicable.
-Ensure class start and end times are adhered to and that classes are adequately prepared in advance.
-Arrange for qualified substitute instructors when unable to teach a scheduled class, following department procedures.
-Set up, inspect, clean, and properly store all equipment before and after classes; maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio environment.
-Enforce all facility policies, procedures, and safety guidelines in a professional and approachable manner.
-Support program growth and quality improvement by providing feedback, participant insights, and recommendations to the Fitness Coordinator.
-Assist with member engagement initiatives, special events, or workshops as needed.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
