500-Hour Certified Pilates Instructor

Website Body By Bliss

Boutique Pilates studio focused on individual attention

We are looking for a passionate Pilates instructor to join our growing boutique studio!

Who We Are:
Body By Bliss is not your typical Pilates studio.

We’re not about cramming classes full of anonymous exercisers looking to break a sweat before work or burn off bad decisions. We aren’t concerned with maximizing hours or dollars or with cranking out as many customers as possible. Quality over quantity, form and function over speed and efficiency.

We aren’t just another big-box studio hoping to hop on the Pilates bandwagon.

We take the time to get to know each and every client–from names and faces to unique health histories, bodies, and goals. Every session at our studio is tailored to the people who attend it, and our small groups cap at six to ensure that our instructors can provide the personalized attention that each individual deserves.

We’re more than a Pilates studio. We’re a tight-knit, welcoming community of clients and professionals working together under one belief: that exercise is medicine.

This summer, our studio saw incredible growth and demand for availability–more than our current staff could handle! As such, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate apparatus-certified Pilates instructor to join our family.

Why Work With Us?
Our “Who We Are” statement might seem a little contrived, but it’s true. We do truly seek to be different–client-focused, intimate, and holistic. We want to be what Pilates should be, what it was designed to be at its heart and roots. As such, we’re not looking for a drill sergeant or exercise coach, but an instructor who shares our passion for holistic wellness, personalized coaching, and client-focused practice.

If that sounds like you, here’s what else you might like about working with us:

Clientele: We provide clients! We have more client demand than instructor availability, so you can hit the ground running–well, teaching–right from day one. If you have your own client base as well, great! The more the merrier. But it’s not necessary for a successful career with us.

Flexibility: We offer flexible, full- or part- time scheduling. Our studio runs from about 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, so whether you’re an early bird or a night owl, you should be able to find time that fits your preferred work hours. We’re also open weekends, and hoping to expand our hours!

Small-group/one-on-one focus: As we said, we’re focused on our clients. Which means you’ll never be shouting instructions to a half-focused crowd of sleepy exercisers. Instead, you’ll be instructing groups of no more than six and as few as one with the goal of making each session personal and impactful.

Supportive environment: Our studio isn’t so much a team as a family, and as such, we all work together to support each other. We value collaboration over competition and encourage everyone to bring their own energy, ideas, and unique style to the party.

Client loyalty: There’s a reason our clients keep coming back session after session, season after season, and year after year–even the traveling ones! We’ve had clients from across the country insist on working with us even during our busiest times because they know we’re the best at what we do (not to sound contrived again–their words, not ours!)

Who YOU Are:
We said it before, but we’ll say it again–we’re not looking for a drill sergeant or exercise hardliner with a weekend Pilates certification. We want someone dedicated to and passionate about the practice.

Here’s what we’re looking for from you:

  • Certification through a Pilates Method Alliance-accredited school for at least one of the following areas: mat Pilates, apparatus Pilates (compressive, Cadillac, reformer, chair, etc.), barre Pilates and/or aerial Pilates
  • Passion for helping clients achieve their health and wellness goals
  • Understanding of medical conditions and how they affect the body and its performance
  • Enthusiasm for building relationships with clients and fostering a positive, supportive community
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience teaching both mat and reformer Pilates classes (both classical and contemporary methods welcomed)

Minimum Requirements

  • Pilates Method Alliance Pilates accreditation as stated above
  • CPR & first aid certificate
  • Personal liability insurance
  • Maintain current certifications & continuing educations

Responsibilities:

  • Lead small-group and private Pilates sessions with a focus on personalized attention
  • Develop, provide, and record unique fitness plans for private and semi-private sessions
  • Answer client questions and provide general client assistance during sessions
  • Build relationships with clients, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and listened to
  • Contribute to the positive and welcoming atmosphere of the studio
  • Stay current with Pilates trends and techniques, and be open to further training
  • Arrive early to set up for sessions and assist clients, remain after session to clean and put away equipment, answer client questions

Skills

  • Professionalism and client service
  • Verbal and written communication
  • Tactile, directional, and visual cuing
  • Knowledge of body mechanics and anatomy
  • Knowledge of Pilates exercises and history
  • Independent task, schedule, and time management
  • Ability to attract and retain new clients
  • Comfortable with computers and learning new programs (we use Wellness Living for scheduling)
  • Punctuality

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule
  • On-site gym
  • Opportunities for advancement

Perks:

  • Competitive pay with the potential for growth and additional opportunities.
  • Discounted classes
  • Access to a supportive, positive team
  • Opportunity to help shape the direction of a growing studio and develop your own classes/workshops

If you’re passionate about Pilates and ready to join a team that values creativity, professionalism, and community, we’d love to hear from you!
