This two-day specialty course has been developed by Pamela A. Downey, MSPT, DPT to explore guidelines to working with the pregnant client and to give clear, evidence-based treatment approaches for women with different types of musculoskeletal dysfunctions. This course is appropriate for Physical Therapists and Pilates Instructors and is intermediate in nature. A sound knowledge base in therapeutic exercise, Pilates and basic anatomy is required.

Dr. Downey has a physical therapy practice dedicated to the needs of women and men with pelvic pain, incontinence, gynecological complaints and pregnancy-excerbated spine and musculoskeletal pain. She is adjunct clinical faculty at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Division of Physical Therapy, and Nova Southeastern University. She is the author of multiple published research articles and a book chapter on pelvic pain, as well as a nationally recognized lecturer on topics in Women's Health.
